Agenda For Week Starting March 18th, 2009

9th Grade English

Monday - Journal. Read Act V, and update your 3-column notes.
Tuesday - Reader's minute. Finish reading Act V. Finish updating your 3-column notes.
Wednesday - Word of the week. Finish watching the movie. Complete the headlines worksheet, and review for tomorrow's test on Romeo and Juliet.
Thursday - Words most often confused. Collect the 3-column notes. Final test on Romeo and Juliet.
Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Go over Poe background information. Introduce the vocabulary words for "Cask of Amontillado." Complete the vocabulary worksheet.

11th Grade English

Monday - Journal. Read chapter XXII and XXIII, and update your study guide.
Tuesday - Reader's minute. Read chapter XXIV, and update your study guide.
Wednesday - Word of the week. Finish watching the movie. Review for tomorrow's test on Frankenstein. Finish updating your study guide.
Thursday - Words most often confused. Test on Frankenstein. Collected your study guide.
Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Complete the anticipation guide for "Night." Quick write on anticipation guide. Do a quick write on one of the questions from the anticipation guide. Overview of the holocaust.

9th Grade English

Monday - Journal entry. Collected bell work. Made new 5-column notes. Read Act IV Scene 1-3.
Tuesday- Reader's minute. Finished reading Act IV, and updated notes.
Wednesday- Word of the week. Complete questions 1-7 from page 373. Also complete questions 1-3 under analyzing literature, and 1-2 under critical thinking and reading.
Thursday- Words most often confused. Continue watching the movie. Review for tomorrow's quiz on Act IV.
Friday- Writing tip of the week and SSR. Act IV quiz and start reading Act V.

11th Grade English

Monday - Journal entry. Collected bell work. Finished working on technology papers. Read chapter XIX.
Tuesday- Reader's minute. Collected technology papers and started presentations.
Wednesday- Word of the week. Finish presentations. Read chapter XX.
Thursday- Words most often confused. Recap chapter XX. Read chapters XXI and XXII.
Friday- Writing tip of the week and SSR. "You be the judge assignment."

Agenda For Week Starting May 4th, 2009

9th Grade English

Monday - Complete the journal entry. Finish reading ACT III, watch the movie, and review for tomorrow's quiz.
Tuesday - Readers' minute. Quiz on ACT III. Collect 6-column notes, and prepare for music / poetry presentations tomorrow.
Wednesday - Word of the week. Music / poetry presentations, and your projects are due.
Thursday - Words most often confused. Make new 6-column notes, and start reading ACT IV
Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Complete Act III worksheets.

11th Grade English

Monday - Complete the journal entry. Go to the library to research technology topics.
Tuesday - Reader's minute. Read chapter 16 and 17. Update your study guide. Review for tomorrow's quiz on chapters 1-17.
Wednesday - Word of the week. Quiz on chapters 1-17. Read chapter XVIII.
Thursday - Words most often confused. Go to the library to finish researching the technology paper.
Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Read the packet that starts with the description of newspaper articles and continues with the article titled "Souls on Ice." Do a quick write answering the following questions: The IVP problem lies in determining what to do with the extra embryos. What are some of the options that parents have chosen in the past. Name at least 2. What do you think should be done with the embryos, and how did you come to that conclusion?
