Monday- Journal entry on a new sheet of paper. Collect past two weeks of bell work. Recap pages 34-57, because tomorrow is the quiz on chapters 1-3. Read p. 58-67 and update your study guide.
Tuesday- Reader's minute. Quiz on chapters 1-3. Start group project.
Wednesday- Word of the week. Group presentations. Complete character charts.
Thursday- Words most often confused. Handed out new study guides. Read page 68-80.
Friday- Writing tip of the week and silent sustained reading. Red p. 81-94 and update your study guide.

11th Grade English Agenda for 9/21/09 - 9/25/09

Monday - Journal entry. Preview "Lord of the Flies." Read pages 7-28. Started completing study guide questions.
Tuesday - Reader's minute. Recap of yesterday's reading. Read page 29-50 and update your study guide.
Wednesday- Word of the week. Pass back "handwriting on the wall" essays. Read pages 50-57. Study your vocabulary words.
Thursday- Words most often confused. Vocabulary study game.
Friday- Words most often confused. Silent sustained reading. Vocabulary quiz.

11th Grade English Agenda for 9/14/09 - 9/18/09

Monday - Journal entry. Read pages 40 - 60 in "Who moved my cheese?" Write down five things that you have learned about change while reading the book.

Tuesday - Reader's minute. Turn in your signed syllabus. Read p.61-80. Complete a quick write (see me for the prompt).

Wednesday- Word of the week. Fill out character trait worksheet. Finish reading the book. Complete the handwriting on the wall worksheet.

Thursday- Words most often confused. Copy essential questions. Overview 9/11 videos and examine them for change. Complete the anticipation guide and survival list.

Friday- Writing tip of the week and SSR. Introduce the vocabulary words for chapters 1-4.
