Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Finish viewing the Oprah interview of Ellie Wiesel.

Tuesday - Reader's minute. Vocabulary quiz on "Night."
Wednesday - Word of the week. Ellie Wiesel's biography assignment.
Thursday - Words most often confused. Read page 31-50 and update your study guide.
Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Figurative language worksheet, read page 51-60, and update you study guide.

Monday - Journal Entry. Finish Holocaust movie. Complete the anticipation guide. Pick the one that you feel the strongest about and do a quick write.
Tuesday - Reader's minute. Copied down the vocabulary words for "Night."
Wednesday - Word of the week. Introduce the essential questions. Read the preface, and start reading the story.
Thursday - Words most often confused. Handed out study guide. Continue reading with the purpose of answering the study guide questions.
Friday - Writing tip of the week and SSR. Recap the reading from last few days. Read twenty more pages and updated the study guide.
