Tuesday- Bell work. Vocabulary quiz (30 words from Lord of the Flies)Continue reading Lord of the Flies with reading strategies
Wednesday- Bell work. Read chapter 2 of Lord of the Flies and update study guide (up to chapter 2)
Thursday- Bell work. Continue last weeks nouns lesson Complete accompanying worksheet
Friday- Bell work. Students will take an ACT Grammar practice test

11th Grade English Agenda For 9/13-9/17

Monday- Journal entry. Read p.5-60, and answer the focus questions. Anything that is not finished is homework.
Tuesday- Reader's minute. Collect focus questions. Read 61-95. Complete the handwriting on the wall assignment.
Wednesday- Word of the week. Go over nouns handout. Intro Collective nouns. Complete the nouns worksheet.
Thursday- Words most often confused. Collect nouns homework and final drafts. Go over verbs handout. Complete verbs worksheet. Review for tomorrows quiz.
Friday- Writing tip of the week and SSR. Nouns quiz. Introduce irregular verbs. Complete the irregular verbs worksheet.

11th Grade English Agenda For 9/7-9/10

Monday - No School
Tuesday - Introductory Power Point. Index Card. 11th Grade English Questionnaire (HO)
Wednesday - Syllabus (HO). Letter. Responses to the questionnaire.
Thursday - 3-5 Class Rules. 2 Class Goals. Finish class procedures. Copy down bell work requirements.
Friday - Finalize class rules. Read up to page 60 in "Who moved my cheese?" Answer the following questions: What are 5 things that you have learned about change? Who are you most like in "A Gathering."
