Tuesday – Reader’s minute and grammar sentence. Commas, semi-colons, and colons worksheet.

Wednesday – Word of the week and grammar sentence. Collected yesterday's worksheet. 12 words to know for test taking. Go over sample persuasive essay. Write a persuasive essay.

Thursday – Words most often confused and grammar sentence. Day 2 of working on Canterbury Tales project.

Friday – Writing tip, silent sustained reading, and grammar sentence. Day 3 of working on Canterbury Tales project.

11th Grade English Agenda For 1/24/11-1/28/11

Monday - No School.

Tuesday – Reader’s minute and grammar sentence. Review subject and verb agreement. Review parallel structure. Complete the subject/verb agreement and parallel structure worksheet.

Wednesday – Word of the week and grammar sentence. Collected yesterday's homework. Worked on more parallel structure worksheets.

Thursday – Words most often confused and grammar sentence. Introduced the Canterbury Tales project. Picked partners and tales. Recap parallel structure and recap strategies for scoring well on the 75 question grammar test.

Friday – Writing tip, silent sustained reading, and grammar sentence. 75 question grammar test in 45 minutes.

11th Grade English Agenda For 1/10/11-1/14/11

Monday - Journal entry. Start reading "The Pardoner's Tale" and complete the study guide.

Tuesday - Reader's minute. Continue reading the tale and completing the study guide.

Wednesday - Word of the week. Review for the midterm. Write a timed persuasive essay.

Thursday - Vocabulary quiz. Continue reading the tale.

Friday - Writing tip of the week. SSR. Finish reading the tale and finish the study guide.

11th Grade English Agenda For 1/03/11-1/07/11

Monday - Journal Entry. Passed back and went over persuasive essays. Looked at some exemplary sample essays. Completed the anticipation guide and did a quick write on the one topic that you felt the strongest about.

Tuesday - Reader's minute. Collected the quick write. Watched the prologue to the "Canterbury Tales" and completed a listening activity.

Wednesday - Word of the week. Finished the listening activity. Started a lesson on hyphens.

Thursday- Words most often confused. Finished the hyphens lesson and turned in the worksheet. Introduced the vocabulary words for "Pardoner's Tale." The quiz is next Thursday.

Friday - Complete the poetry activity.
