11th Grade English Agenda For 5/31/11-6/03/11

Monday – No School.
Tuesday – Journal entry and grammar sentence. Collected bell work. Reviewed for your midterm. You need to know the following:

1. Know the words most often confused from the second semester.
2. Know pronoun and antecedent agreement. Know the rules and how to apply them.
3. Know the “Pardoner’s Tale.”
4. Know the authors of all the stories that we have read in the second semester.
5. Know irony, first person point of view, third person point of view, autobiography, biography, Gothic genre, and memoir.
6. Know “Frankenstein.”
7. Know “Night”.

Wednesday – Word of the week and grammar sentence. Recap the last 30 pages of "Night." Read page 91-100 and update your study guide.

Thursday – Words most often confused and grammar sentence. Watch the pronoun and antecedent agreement video and complete the worksheets.

Friday – Writing tip, silent sustained reading, and grammar sentence. Finish reading "Night." Finish the study guide too.

Monday – Journal entry and grammar sentence. Read page 30-50 and update your study guide. Study for your vocabulary quiz, which is tomorrow.

Tuesday – Reader’s minute and grammar sentence. Vocabulary quiz. Read p. 51-60.

Wednesday – Word of the week and grammar sentence. Quiz on pages 1-50. Read page 61-70 and update your study guide.

Thursday – Words most often confused and grammar sentence. Complete the figurative language worksheet. Read page 71-80 and update your study guide.

Thursday – Words most often confused and grammar sentence. Passed out "Night." Reading assessment. Completed the anticipation guide. Completed a quick write on the anticipation guide.

Friday – Writing tip, silent sustained reading, and grammar sentence. Think/Pair/Share quick writes from yesterday. Start watching the Holocaust video.
