9TH Grade English
Monday- Journal entry. Collected bell work. Passed back and went over memoirs, and started 2nd memoir.
Tuesday- Reader's minute. Read "Darkness by Noon," and pick out the traits of a memoir. Recap "Freedom Writers," and identify the traits of a memoir. Write the final draft of your second memoir. It is due tomorrow.
Wednesday- Word of the week. Collect the second memoir. Learned the traits of descriptive writing. Read the article titled "The Polyphemus Moth," and pick out the descriptive traits.
Thursday- Words most often confused. Read "The Loophole of Retreat," and find the traits of descriptive writing. Introduce and start the life portrait assignment.
Friday- Writing tip of the week and SSR. Work on life portrait.
11TH Grade English
Monday- Journal. Collect bell work. Passed back and went over persuasive essays. Wrote another persuasive essay.
